Hot Summer Trends

Hello Hello Hello! I would first like to say thank you to everyone who responded so kindly to my last post. It was a very scary thing for me to do but it was necessary! I value all your support. ILY!

Now lets get to some fun stuff! I have been really intrigued with what has been on trend this summer because it was defiantly not what I was expecting. I am going to be running you through what fashion trends are SUPER HOT FIRE FLAMES THESE DAY! You know... it's what the kids are saying.

The cherry trend is ALL OVER. The obvious has been on different silhouetted dresses like wrap dresses and a body con tanks with a square neck (which is trendy on its own). But if we're going to be honest, I am not living for it. I think most of the time it looks a little over played and is not that interesting. Don't get me wrong, some girls look so cute in it, but for me it's not something that I would do because there are not enough ways to diversify it. Here are a few pieces that I do think are cute if you were wanting to get your hands on a piece or two.

Okay now that we have the obvious cherry print out of the way, I want to move on to the 90's, which is clearly back in full swing. I have been waiting for this because I have been obsessing over Fran Fine looks since I could stay up late enough to watch Nick at Night! Short Suits have made a huge comeback and whether you're wearing it out and about as a casual look with sneakers, dressed up for a night on the town with a bralette, or even at work to spice up your professional life, I highly recommend looking for one. ASOS has some great ones that are a little pricey that I would totally snatch if student loans didn't have me by the balls right now. PS I'm thinking about doing a Youtube video on this so keep a lookout on that.

Not only are the '90's back and thriving, but her older (but equally as cool) sister the "80's is also back to take back her crown and boy is she coming in STRONG! The signature 80's silhouette is everywhere right now. Strong shoulders, a defined waist, and legs that look 10 miles long are such strong looks but definitely more difficult to pull off because not everyone has that body type, but taking it and making it your own is always the funnest part! Because this is just a type of style and not specific pieces, here are some looks I think look so so cute and can be totally interpretted no matter what your style or shape.

Lastly, I dont think I have seen such an over whelming amount of accessories in a long time. This summer is the season of over doing it, honestly. Between the loud logos, bright colors, and statement pieces, accessories are overloaded in nearly every outfit and I'm loving it. Bum bags and fanny packs are on every corner and you can find them at all price points.

To round up this blog post I want to highlight something that I have been obsessing over. I want to start incorporating this every time I do a fashion post. Eggie is a brand owned and created by Youtube's own Jenn Im! I have been subscibed to Jenn since she was going to UC Davis which might as well be 495034 years ago. Her style has always been interesting and original. She has brought that into her own online store where the clothes are designed by her and her team. Although I love most of her pieces, her dresses for this spring and summer season have been KILLER and have the most beautiful/feminine look! Here are some of my favorites!

Thank you again for reading and I like I said, keep a look out for a youtube video from me in the near future.

xx,

Ryann
